City Lights by
CWhether it is late at night on the freeway or in the bustling street
Nothing beats the sight that my eyes happen to meet
Forever glimmering across the milky sky
Eyes pressed upon the window panes to see them as they go by
Greeting the tired trekker with welcome and embrace
Cast upon the city as if it were a radiant lace
So many there to comfort
Each twinkling in their elaborate concert
In glory, glistening with might
Valiantly shining through the perils of day and night
To always be there along your roadside
City lights ever there to be the travelers’ guide.

Soar by ¤~Persian Poet Gal
What prevents to fly, to soar the sky―
When there are beings on this earth masquerading as angels,
With wings that touch high?
How can we not glide, or float atop the winds―
When there are those special moments,
When the soul is uplifted beyond sins?
Why then, is there no stairway to the skies―
When clouds come so close, inviting you to arise?
Could it be we were punished to remain bounded―
Or is it to find ourselves with hearts that can love and are not grounded?
So the question arises, if we are unable to fly but have hearts that can soar―
Do we truly need to touch the sky to know that the
heart’s flight possesses so much more?

Safe Mile by ¤~Persian Poet Gal
Walking down the road to safe mile,
My only hope is the journey is worthwhile.
I feel all my happiness and all my trials,
On the road to safe mile.
The road leads up and never down with guile,
Just making my way to safe mile.
Passing by the heartache and waiting for smiles,
On the other end of safe mile.
I was once grown but now I’m a child,
While traveling new on safe mile.
Cut the cheap talk and denial,
All is truth on safe mile.
Far from home but not exiled,
I am closer to safe mile.
Every step feels shaky and fragile,
But I will recover on safe mile.
Being humane was once a style,
There is no escaping it on safe mile.
Is this the end of my file,
Now that I’m reaching the finish of safe mile?
No need to speed up or turn the dial,
We will all make our way through safe mile.

Windmill by ¤~Persian Poet Gal
Windmill, windmill turning ‘round
There lies a future where earth is bound
Emotions at a turning grind
Where will love stop to entwine?
Seeking promise, seeking time
How will fate have its spinning rhyme?
Is there glory, is there grace
Can there be truth in face—
Windmill, windmill turning ‘round
Do not go far from found
Are you lonesome, are you gone
Has reality been sin?
Forgetting troubles, forgetting space
When will there be no more disgrace?
Are we closer, are we near
Is there so much we fear—
Windmill, windmill turning ‘round
Never lose your sound.

Holiday & Celebration Poems
My Simple Christmas Gift by ¤~Persian Poet Gal
What makes us think of simple things
Like holiday bells with their cheery rings
Or when we look under the Christmas tree
And realize we didn’t get one for the presents but for the glee
How does that simple moment come
When we didn’t sing the Christmas song we hummed
Or when we gave that little kiss
When there was no mistletoe just bliss
So let me leave you with this one last request
This year give the simple gifts they will be the best.

My Holiday Wish List by ¤~Persian Poet Gal
I wish this year that at least one person is given another chance
I wish this year that at least one person mended a broken romance
I hope to see that at least one person this year is rewarded for their good ways
I hope to see that at least one person this year have better and brighter days
I wish to hear that at least one person had their life’s dreams come true
I wish to hear that at least one person saw skies of a brighter shade of blue
So to those of you this year who anxiously await the joyous holidays
I wish you all to have a year full of bliss and happiness always.

Anniversary Remembrance by ¤~Persian Poet Gal
The time of year has come
When tender vows are cherished and the wedding bells toll
Talks of moments dear to heart
Remembrance of the relationship’s affectionate start
United in both nurture and care
Hearts woven in threads fare
Years of warmth and embrace
Love as fragile as a vase
Fate’s folly in many ways
But never does the decision cease to amaze
Eternally entwined in the testament of time
Always remaining in each others heart as “mine”
Forever the crimson emotions blaze
Forever does the lovers live in the blissful daze
Anniversary Remembrance always to those in mind
Anniversary Remembrance to the loved ones who have together become of one kind
